August 8 - Seq: Visit of party consisting of Senator Russell Long, Dem, La; Senator Wayne Morris, Rep, Oregon; Cols Mark Galuster, W.W. Carleton, CE; A.L. Cox, AF; Mr. G.W. Vinzant, Civ, CE; Lt Gen Myers, NEAC; Col Young, NEAC. August 7 - The arrival of Gen J. Lawton Collins, Ch of Army Staff. Also mentioned in captions are Col Throckmorten, Capt Collins, Gen Witcomb. A Brig Gen and other high-raking officers are not identified. August 9 - Carpenter nails boards on radio building. Men insert a final piece of siding. Another man screws bolts into metal overhang strip with electric machine.
